I ordered this ebook within the hope that it goes past the standard beginner-to-intermediate images books (e.g. rule of thirds, depth of subject, etc.) and explains the theoretical and practical background of images, like how lenses are designed and manufactured, how completely different sensors work, the theory of lighting, and so on. Judging by the table of contents earlier than ordering, I noticed that the potential is there.
After reading the e book around midway (despite the fact that the author recommends the readers to only read the chapters they are thinking about), I still think the potential to be a very good reference book is there. Some subjects are extra detailed than others, however on common, the data included within the ebook is adequate.
The one factor that makes this e book very exhausting to learn and to revenue from, is a horrible writing model that makes me really feel it has never seen an editor. There's almost no cohesion within the text: completely unrelated sentences follow each other, typically a single paragraph introduces two totally different subjects, generally a paragraph simply repeats the previous one, barely reworded. Some statements are overexplained, some aren't defined in any respect (or maybe much later, with none type of referencing). And these do not happen occasionally, this is how the whole book (at least the half I've learn to date) is written. As traditional, this is topped off by the poorly done index.
All in all, this could possibly be a traditional reference for those interested within the idea of photography (mainly the technical parts), nevertheless it needs an nearly full rewrite for the subsequent edition.
